It seems like w/ a hack I found to try using uICE w/ an IrDA port. I've managed to make Win2K install my IrDA port as a Standard Serial IR Port. I can seem to get Girder to detect the port (it installed as COM2) but the remote doesn't seem to send any signals.
I've tried 2400 & 4800 & 9600 bauds/rates.

Any ideas?

yes.. i have read that..
in fact, i just found it & tried re-installing the IrDA port as an IrDA port.. but the IrDA plugin really doesn't help for IrDA, but I think it will if i re-install the IrDA port as a Standard Serial IR port.
Trying that now..

nah.. didn't work as far as i can tell.
still can't get any signal to be read
