I have set up girder to control winamp. But I cannot get it to do something that is pretty important.

I set it up so that I push a button on my remote (I have a IRMAN), and the open location dialog opens on winamp. I then want to enter a 3 digit number to recall an album. Girder would put in C:musicpink_floydthe_wall

then another button would hit enter.

I have gotten it to work when i hit 1 button for the album. But with over 300 albums, I need to use a three digit system. It seems like girder only will take one button per event.

anyone know a work around?

thanks

I believe numbuilder may be what I am looking for. I just need to learn how to use it now!

I am using Girder with the Pronto remote. I am also using supernudelist for the remote.

Supernudelist is a program for the Pronto which gives you the names of all your albums and a nice gui for these.

I want to hit an album, and have that send a command to girder, to open location, put in the album name, then hit enter.

I have gotten this to work perfectly, but only with one button for the albums. With over 300 albums, I need to use three digits for an album. I think it will work now with numbuilder.

Are you doing all of the number->Album Directory conversions within Girder? If so, your solution is probably not very ideal.

It might be a better idea to use the AlbumList plugin for Winamp, this way you can select your albums by using both your mouse and your remote.

Also check out the Playlist Selector by MPEGErnie in the Downloads section.

Note that fot doing the task of selecting the number you want, the "NumBuilder" plugin that comes with Girder 3.1 is probably your best of options.
