Problem with download

Hello,
I have just purchased Net remote IR, I recieved my product key today by email. I wish to use Net remote on my PC with a touch screen and a usb uirt to control my equipment in my home theater. I do not have a PPC. I asked on the forum before I purchased the software if it would work on a Windows XP htpc for this purpose, and I was assured that it would work. I am having problems with installing the software on my computer , I have down loaded the version 1.1.0.44 from the download screen, run through the set up, all that will install on my computer is the user manual or documention, and the links to the forum and the Promoxis homepage. No icons to launch the software. Please tell me what I am doing wrong. I have tried several times, no luck.

What windows version?

Can you open explorer and look in the program files/promixis/net remote folder and see whats in there?

Do you have admin privledges on this machine?

Thanks for the reply. The Window XP is the Home edition, 2002, service pack 2.
I went to the net remote file that was downloaded into the program files, the following files were installed on my computer:
1. Docs
2.Promixis internet shortcut 1KB
3.uninsooo datfile 17kb
4.Lua
5.Promixis Forum internet shortcut 1KB
6.uninsooo, setup/uninstall

I have tried to download and reinstall several times, I cant get access to the actual program , only the links to the Homepage and Forum,no other icons etc, just the internet links that were installed in the start menu. I am the admin on this computer.

Thank You for your assistance, I am looking forward to getting this all set up and working, Hopefully it is a simple problem.

Hi joesph -
Apologies for the misunderstanding here. NetRemote IR is for PPC only, and it -only- supports direct infrared (like a learning remote). For all the things you want to do, you'll need NetRemote Pro or NetRemote Pro+IR.

Well thats atleast good news , a simple fix I believe. Is it possible to purchase an upgrade to Net remote pro, since I have not activated the product key that I was sent, or do I need to just purchase the whole enchilda?

Since you just purchased it, if you want to buy Pro or Pro+IR, we're refund your IR purchase and you'll be good to go.
