Hello,

I like the event mapping feature in G4 because I have several remotes to be used with allways the same actions.

First Question: Can I edit the list of default-Output Events in the event editor?There are missing some important functions like european color keys (red, yello, green, blue), back-key ans some individuals.

Second Question: Playing with this output events, I see that they are already dedicated to action automatically (ex. sending event "master volume up" rises the volume lever allthough there is no action defined for this in my gml-file. Can I stop this "hidden action"? If not, I cannot use event mapping because I want to define the relevant actions by myself.

Thanks in davance,

mhund

Thank you very much. This helps me with question no.2.

Still unclear for me is question no.1: Can I create my own output events or edit the existing ones? Or do I have to abuse the existing ones?

Ok. I found the answer in the forum. Unfortunately, I have to see that it is not possible to change/add own output events. So this feature "event mapping" is totally worthless for me. Just the half of the events I need is in the list of predefined output events.

To get a structured gml-tree, I need to use event mapping either for all remote events or for none.

But I don't want to complain. G4 seems to be usefull for me sofar ... :wink:

let us know what events...

note: the idea of the defined actions was to denote an event that has an intended action. ie. the red/yellow etc. keys do not imply any sort of action (AFAIK :o )

Don't waste time for me. I decided not to use the event mapping feature. Now I am planning to use a set of event translation actions in a separate group. There I assign the - what you call - raw events. Is this a good alternative? Or do you see any better solution?
