Saving error

Hi Ben,

Every time I try to save my work, I get this error.

There was a problem saving the ccf (The server threw an exception). The original File has been retored.

Only way around it for me is to save as a different file name.

Are you guys adding sliders, perhaps? Please try the version I just uploaded, as I believe I've corrected the problem.

I still have exactly the same problem

as soon as I edit something (I don't have to add a new item) and press save then NR always crashes...

I've removed my 3 plugins from NR, makes no difference...

I just got this same error w/ NRD 1.0.0.22 and NR 1.5.1.58
The only edits made in NRD was to reduce the font size from 12pt to 10pt on the button label of two sliders. When I first clicked Save, NR crashed. But after I restarted NR and then clicked Save in NRD again, all my changes took.

Ben- This seems to be independent of ccf. If I open new-pro 480x640.ccf and grab a button on the home page, move it then move it back such that NRD thinks the file has changed, that's all that's necessary. Click Save in NRD and it throws the exception error. Restart NR and I can then save the file in NRD w/o error. Moreover, I can now edit and save additional changes w/o error from this point on.

not for me,

If I have new-pro_480x640 loaded and edit a button, then press save : no crash

If I have my own ccf loaded, then NR always crashes when pressing the save button, also after NR has restarted...

also, If I have my own ccf loaded in NR, then select in NR file\load new-pro 480x640.ccf then NR crashes. (I assume for the same reason why designer save causes a crash)

Ok, it just happened again to me!

Marcel - Your's always happened, and I've located the problem (relating to stopping a lua timer on lua reinit).

I'm continuing to look into other potential times this would happen.

I take back what I said earlier. I had just switched from my problem ccf to the new-pro ccf when it generated an error. So something must have been left in memory...

Because I am having other problems, I tested for this on my work machine (XP-pro) and it throws the exception error every time I try and save my ccf. And there were no errors with the new-pro ccf. Ben, I'll e-mail you my ccf shortly.

dsmes - Your problem was the same as Marcel's (an existing timer during lua reinit). This is fixed in NetRemote in the version I will be posting shortly.

Dan - perhaps yours is the same?

Mine seens to happen on the second time I try to save after opening the ccf and making some changes.

So if I open a ccf and add or delete a button click save it works fine. If I now add or delete a button if fails giving the error.

When I say open a ccf I mean start NR and NRD fresh.

Ive tried saving as a new file, no change.

My CCF is not unusable, ive tried deleting pieces i recently added, but no luck

ive attched the exception

And this is definitely with the new release of NRD? If so, I have the ccf that you sent me, so I'll test and see what I come up with.
