View Full Version : Cannot expand some items in Library

I just downloaded an evaluation copy of NetRemote Music (1.1), and in general I like it a lot. There are two bugs though that I've encountered and I'm hoping that someone reading this forum can provide fixes.

Major Issue: When I choose the Library tab on my Pocket PC, there are some items that will not expand when I hit the "+" sign on the left. Most expand just find - but maybe 1 out of 5 will not expand no matter how many times I try. I've tried refreshing the media library to no avail. Does anybody have a solution to this? This is a showstopper for me.

Minor Issue: When I choose the album cover thumbnail view, some of the album covers don't correspond to the right album.

If I can solve the first issue I'll buy the product. A solution to the second problem would be nice too - but that's just a minor annoyance.

Thanks for your help!

Hi Dj -
Do the albums in question have foreign characters in them?

There is a beta in the first post in this forum of 1.5 which has improved unicode support. Do you want to try that one and see if it works better?

Ben - your diagnosis appears to be accurate. Switching to the beta fixed this problem. Thanks for your prompt response!

Not a problem. Glad it's working out great now.

Is there any other work-around for this, other than upgrading to the beta, and then having to pay for that new version, as I just bought this version?

I can find the music if I do a search, but it won't open the albums under library. NO weird characters just "-".

ANy thoughts?

You can download the new NetRemote 2 beta and install -only- the MediaBridge to see if it is more stable for you.

Ahh, I see, excellent. I will give that a shot.

Thanks for the tip!
