FastMedia IR port - 2 way communication?

As far as I know is the fast media remote only a receiver and it will only receive signals from the fast media remote.

I just got a Nokia 3360 cell phone. One thing that I want to do is change the ring tone to something a bit more accetable, Slayer - Raining Blood to be precise. :D So, the way to get a new ring tone into the 3360 is through an infrared port. On eBay, I bought a PB FastMedia and was trying to configure it last night. As I am running XP Pro, most of the documentation out there isn't up to date.

What this all comes down to is two questions: are infrared ports such as the FastMedia able to send and receive or is it possible that this port is only one way communication? Also, is there anything specific about XP and it's configuration that I should know about in regards to infrared port installation?
