I have read the tips in the other forum, and they are very helpful.
I have a few questions..
I have it setup that when I say the word "weather", the computer will say " getting weather" and the weather windows will pop up. No the problem is the computer recognizes itself! So as soon as it says " getting weather" it hears the word weather and repeats itself in an ugly loop!
i am assuming the best way to get around this is to change the trigger word. Maybe from just "weather" to "showmeweather" or something of the like??
How about zoning? What would one think the best way to do this would be? With multiple sound cards, could the system recognize audio input from each card independantly? Then "map" commands to corrospond with that zone? For example, could it be set up that when I am in the bedroom and I say something like "light off" it would only send a command to that local light?
Then in the next room, say the same command, but only control the light for that room?
I gotta say, I have gotten more accomplished with Girder in 2 days than I have with "other" automation software in months.
Kudos again to a cool bit of software.
