View Full Version : Simple timer - am I getting old, or is this illogical?

I really thought long and hard about how to subtly hint to you guys that this is my 40th birthday...damn, there goes that subtlety!

Anyway, not to make this a total ego trip, is it logical that a new simple timer event should be recurring? I have made the mistake twice of not seeing that, and the first time it took a week with a couple of dodgy wakeup calls (my own, luckily, not mrs. Mastiff's), because the simple timer that turns off the receiver after an hour (this hasn't got a snooze function on remote) turned off the receiver again shortly after it was turned on in the morning. So shouldn't a new timer be non-recurring?

Happy Birthday Tor!

I don't see one way as being more logical than another really

Thanks again! :D It's moving towards the end of the day, but I don't feel that different. I don't think I'll ever be mentally more than 16 anyway...

Thanks, and don't worry, Mike. It's now the day after in Norway, and I don't even feel different! Don't believe the hype...
