Change resolution as the popup says:
WxHxC@Hz
w = width in pixels
h = height in pixels
C = color depth in bits ( 8 = 256 colors, 16 = 16bits etc )
Hz = refresh
for example:
800x600x8@75
is 800 by 600 pixels at 256 colors at 75 herz refresh.
The reason for the change is the much higher flexibility then before.

The popup will popup :-) if you entered something it did not understand, don't worry about it, the info above is far more elaborate then the popup.

That dialog with the incorrect number of parameters is the popup i was talking about, sorry if that is the confusion i ment dialog, not popup.
You should enter the parameters in the File box, i noticed that the label stays greyed out. I know, its ugly, that is the next big thing that will change in Girder, the UI.

I just upgraded to 3.1 and for the life of me I can't figure out how the resolution change feature works now. I had this working before in 3.0, but now I can see the change resolution command, but nowhere to tell it what resolution I want to use.
Also, is there an easy way to go into standby mode. I want to program a multi-group to have a single key action as standby and the other as a CRTL-ESC wakeup command.
Thanks
Simon

Popup ?
What popup. All I see is the window where you select the change resolution command. The only other thing on that window is a volume button. no popup window has ever appeared.
Is there some reason why I wouldn't get the popup window appearing. Graphics driver related perhaps ?

OK, I have got to be missing something. I see nowhere to enter the resolution paramters and no popup window pops up, at any time, even when I select the action as change resolution and the hit apply.
When should this popup ?
I just installed 3.1 on a seperate machine and a test command comes up with an error saying incorrect number of parameters.
Is the change resolution reliant on a plugin and if so which one ?

Victory :)
That file box and it being greeyed out was what led me astray.
No worries on the UI, functionality first pretty it up later.
Thanks for the help Ron.
Now I must get some sleep.
