Display text in frame with state

Has the behaviour changed in the last release of NRD (1.1.0.24)?
I defined a frame and entered a text to display in this frame. Now I add a state but the 'Element text' grayed out. I use the state to hide or show the frame. In NR the text shows as 'STATE:+entered text'. How do I show my entered text so I can use the state variable to show and hide.

Am I very short off memory or is this behaviour new? If it is new and intended how to accomplish my wishes?

You cannot have both text and state in a frame right now. Maybe you used a button to do this before, where this is possible?
