best conflict-free infrared receiver

i want to make an infrared receiver, but i don't know which one. I wanted to make the SFH-56 ( Igor ) device but i read in the FAQ that it makes clicking noise when working :-) so what do You think is the best receiver? i'm asking because i want to buy parts tomorrow
