decibel,
Two things on my plugin which may help transmit range:
1. Make sure you have 'Drop DTR @ Tx' checked in the 'settings' page.
2. There are two adjustment sliders you can try tweaking to see if they improve range -- immediately to the right of the 'code' boxes. Keep in mind that these adjustments actually change the code when 'Apply' is pressed and that's why they re-center. Note: if you don't see these sliders, make sure tou are using version 1.6 of the plugin.

Hi.
Well I cant reproduce this error using 10mhz uirt.
The best would be to mail me girder gml file with recorded command that gives you this error.(so I can try)
Also tell me what speed uirt are You using (10 or 4) and whar remote are you trying to transmit.
bye

Kari,
I also get exactly the same problem with Danijel Pticar's firmware and plugin  It can work fine for 10 to 50 transmits, then randomly the "no 'OT' 1UIRT reply" message pops up and if I then press OK the command is sent. Even if the error window is still on the screen, I can sometimes send another command which will work first time. However, if I have too many UIRT error windows on the screen, Girder will eventually crash when I 'OK' a few of them.
Adjusting the UIRT speed setting doesn't seem to get rid of the problem.
While i'm on the subject, unless I disable this plugin before closing Girder, I get a 'Girder has caused an error in Kernel32.dll' message, everytime.
I've tried the alternative John Rhees firmware and plugin which works OK, but I seem to get very much reduced transmit strength. I don't know why this is when it's using the same hardware :-? . I tried adjusting the carrier frequency with no real gains.
Anybody else encountered the same errors ?
Cheers, Dec.
PS: Keep up the good work guys, this thing (Girder) is amazing !

Jon and Danijel,
Thanks for your replies. I'm sorry I haven't got back to you sooner, but work took me to Japan for the week.
Jon, I installed V1.6 of your plugin and programmed the UIRT with the appropriate firmware and all seems to be working fine now. I have another PC that I have to test, so i'll let you know the results of that soon.
Danijel, I have e-mailed you the example GML file that I am having problems with. I'm running Girder V3.1.2e and trying to control a Pace digital terrestrial TV box. The error is repeatable, but the number of transmits before the error starts to occur can vary. Seems like a timeout error or something, as the command is transmitted perfectly after I press the 'OK' button on the error box.
Anyways, thanks for your assistance.
Cheers, Dec

Hi everyone.
I've got my UIRT more or less working with Girder now. My chief problem is that occasionally I get "no 'OT' 1UIRT reply" when transmitting. When I click OK in the eror dialog, the command is transmitted. Has anybody else had this problem, and more to the point, does anybody have a solution?
I'm using Danijel Pticar's firmware and plugin, and Ruud van Gessel's circuit, modified for external power supply and boosting of IR transmission.
