Ok maybe someone can help me, im getting really fustrated..

1st problem is that i downloaded the trail(NR Music) installed it on my HP iPaq RX1955.. it worked on my wired computer a couple of times, but i could NOT get it to be consistent...But after like the 5th time of runnin NR on my iPaq, it would then ask me for a key... So since im kinda in a rush on getting this setup workin(Im using my MP3 collection for a party im having, would like to use NR to control all of it). I bought a license, put the key in and this thing still does not work..meaning the program loads but no connection..maybe one every 15 tries

So i then download NR 2.0 and it seems that its workin a little better...i was using my Ipaq for about 1hr yesterday with no problems(will try again when i get home, to see if its consistent)

2nd Problem.. BUT the way im setting all this up for my party is that i need MB on a wireless laptop..and when i try that i get nothing....no connection, nada...i tried the NRutility and i get a complete successful

My iPaq is running Windows Mobile 5 and i can get on the interent usin internet explorer

any ideas...

If your laptop cannot connect I suspect a firewall related issue. Do you see a connection show up in MediaBridge on the PC when trying to connect from the laptop?

For the PPC, try using an IP address instead of hostname. Windows Mobile 5 seems to have some difficulty connecting via hostname, and we're working to resolve this.

I have no firewall software, the XP one is disable..im using a Dlink 4300 Router...

The weird thing is that yea i do see them BUT only when MB first loads then 3 seconds later they are removed, and i say "they" because its about 4-6 connections i see...its my pocketPCs IP each with different ports

have been doing that the whole time..still with the same problem...

Can you look in your plugin properties for MediaBridge (within NetRemote) to see if more than one instance has been created?

A. What do you mean you can't remove them? You can't tap and hold and select remove?

B. Your log certainly looks like a connection problem is occuring (it's not handshaking properly)

C. Any interest in trying the new beta (In the NR2 thread) or at least the MediaBridge included with the NR 2 install? It may correct this.

Hi Sweethip,

I think I've seen your problem before, what's your wireless network equipment? I had the same problem where it would connect for a micro-second then delete the connection & repeat with a different port, on my system it kept doing this & eventually hung the HTPC!. I tried a lot of different fixes (I'm running nvidia chipset which also has issues) & finally narrowed it down to the Netgear wg111v2 54g USB wireless adaptor (or more specifically the crappy Netgear drivers!).

The solution was to remove the netgear management software & allow Windows XP to manage the connection itself. Incidentally this also fixed problems I was having with BitTorrent transfers as well.

Btw if you do have netgear wireless hardware & you go on Windows Update you might see a new driver, this still has the same problem!.

Good luck,
Cheers,
Paul
