I am getting quite frustrated here... I have a CCF that has volume sliders on it. These sliders refuse to function in NR 1.1.xx the last official release. My ccf works fine on the beta windows clients, but the PPC clients won't talk to Girder. I just need a version of NR that supports sliders and will have a 2-way converstion with Girder. I have spent many hours on this and am getting nowhere, in addition I spent the money for a NRD license, Girder license and 2 licenses of NR Pro, not to mention dropping $ on 4 Dell Axims on the promise that this stuff would work. What is the right combination to make this stuff work??!?!

I can understand your frustration, Promixis is making a mess of all these conflicting versions and should clean it up!
They don't seem to understand not everyone is a programmer and just wants software to work!

Tom - Understanding that you're having trouble getting a volume slider to work, are you saying that you were able to get NetRemote 1.1 to talk to the same Girder that won't work in NetRemote 2? Can you check to ensure that the "mode" is set to Girder 4 and not Girder 3?
Other than that, please send myself or Rob H your ccf and we'll take a look to see if anything looks amiss.
Barend - There are plenty of people using NetRemote 1.1 (the only version we're saying is stable) with NetRemote Designer. 2.0 is in beta. Once we told people we were in beta, no one wanted to buy 1.1 anymore, they wanted the ability to purchase 2.0. They were quite emotional about this.

Here is my ccf and corresponding lua file. I have ensured that Girder4 is selected where appropriate. The files are constantly changing so there are probably some erroneous things in there right now.
The Main concerns are:
when loaded on a PPC, Girder does not recognize events from NR but NR will update variables according to Girder's SetVariable() func. If I could get this working, all would be good because everything else more or less functions. The ccf loaded into the windows client works okay.

Hi Tom - We should be able to get this working for you without too much trouble. We'll have an answer for you by tomorrow afternoon.

GREAT!!! I wanted to let you know that if I can get Girder and NetRemote Speaking to each other if I do the following:
In NR set all of the plugins and default hosts to the IP address of my computer.
Open IE on the PPC and navigate to my computer via the IP address
Switch back over to NR and all seems well
This only works if I use an IP address and not the computer name. And I MUST hit my computer through the browser (bringing up the Girder server) before it will work.

Now that's weird. Definitely. Is it waking up the interface or something? Now I'm less sure of it being a CCF issue. :(

Yup, this is not going to be straightforward. Your CCF worked "out of the box" for setting XM stations on both Windows and PPC.
The fact that it works after hitting the computer through the browser makes me think something is screwy with the PPC network adapter, in some way.
Rob H has a Girder test suite that I think you should try, which -might- help us diagnose what's going on here.

Where do I get the test suite?
