Thanks Ben for mailing me the exe for NR Designer.
The exception is gone now.
But a bit funny is the following:
When starting NR-Des it complains about no ccf having been specified; selecting any ccf works (but no pcf can be specified at this time).
It took me a while to figure this out, without some ccf preloaded no pcf can be opened.
Also, there seems no escaping from NR's (non-pda version) full screen mode, only setting StartFull=1 in the Win registry helps.
Otherwise starting NR and NR Des only shows a fullscreen img of the latest loaded ccf, no interface visble (only Alt-F4 helps).
To conclude, it's a bit strange that the popup with the buttons comes up after almost every op, requiring it to be shut off (and then complaining about "7 instances"). Can't it be disabled?
When I have some time I will go through more of the Designer.
Cheers

To toggle NR between full screen and windowed mode use Ctrl-Enter

Not sure what you mean about the popup with the buttons?

Are you saying NetRemote on Windows isn't configured to load a CCF?

@Ben S
Provided you're referring to my mail-
What I mean is you have to first load a ccf before you can load a pcf.
I don't know how to load a pcf instead of ccf at startup, because at that time the option box doesn't let me choose between ccf and pcf.
About the popup that reappears on many instances:
I just found out that's really NR itself...
Sorry for being incomprehensable at times, but holy cow what a lot of useful options when you set a button in NR Designer!
I think this will prove a very useful program instead of (or as an edition to) PPPENG.

NetRemote cannot open .pcf's, only NRD can. So you should have NetRemote configured to open your CCF, right?

Then when you start NRD is should default to that CCF, and in NRD you can then load a PCF to convert to use with NetRemote.

Note that NRD can't generate files that a Pronto remote can use, it's intention is to create CCF's that NetRemote can use.
