Hi,
Im using NR PPC 2.0.0.7 and NRD 1.1.0.33 with a HP IPAQ hx4700. I am getting an error loading a simple CCF that is titled "Syntax Error", the details are [string "\My Documents\NRCCF\TSTPOP.CCF"] :1: invalid control char near `char(0)'.
The same CCF loads just fine into NRwin32.
I dont think this is an NR2 problem as i remember seeing this using 1.1.44 but i cant remember what i did to make it go away!
Can someone help me out?
Cheers
Dan

I'd thought this was fixed ages ago. If it's the problem I think it is then just add a blank line at the end of your CCF's .lua file

Hi Rob,
This may be another problem, adding a blank line at the end of the CCF didnt help, i also tried deleting the .lua and got the same message.
Thanks

The same problem may occur in one of the other lua files in either the NetRemote\lua or NetRemote\lua\startup folders?
If you can't track it down then upload the CCF here

Rob,
Im not sure i would know where to start looking, the PPC loads the default and my regular CCF fine, so im guessing the startup .lua files are ok.
This CCF is just a knock up to try to help me work out a problem i have in my regular ccf.
I seriously hope its not my sketchy .lua

The last set variable looks funny to me. If you change it to "0" instead of 0 does it still behave this way?

Hi Ben,
Putting the 0 in quotes didnt make any difference, i also tried deleting the lua file and still got the same message, so now i think maybe the problem is in the .ccf file itself. Strange that it works on the pc but not the ppc.

I can't see anything obviously wrong anywhere.
Ben: It would help if NR could provide more information about the source of a syntax error in an action e.g. providing the path to the button that had the error.

Yes, this is most likely a lua state on a frame/button but can't see it.
Rob - Agree 100%. I'll see if I can add that.
