You use Igorplugin / sfh-56 or Winlirc, right ?

Both plugins are polling plugins and need lots of CPU power, so does your winmodem. Since the modem probably runs at kernel level it has priority over SFH-56 plugin, and thus the IR reception looses out :(

Other plugins will have the same problem. Different hardware is the solution i guess.
About the COM error, this is a matter of the plugin, and for both plugins I do not have the source.

Hi,
When I'm connected to the net I loose input to Girder.
I got a soft modem on win2k
any Ideas ?

Yeh, I'm using the Igor and had the same problem with winlirc

Is there a ready made solution for this ? what about other plugins ?
or just to write a serial kernel filter... a shotgun for a fly...
btw do you have any news about the COM error when returning from hibernation ?
