I use a locally hosted Flash application to control my Audiotrons with my Mobile 5.0 devices (X51V) It worked in the Netremote browser in the 1.x ver but not in 2.0 including the most recent build. I am using the Flash 7 Windows Mobile Player, but also tried 6 with no luck. I verified that the app works OK with the native Mobile 5.0 browser (IE). In the Netremote browser it displays as a black screen.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

Do regular web pages work, and only the hosted flash movie doesn't?

Provided the full URL is in the address bar, other non-flash web sites, both remote (e.g. google, cnn) and local (e.g. homeseer) are reachable and display properly.

Thanks in advance for your help!

And if you hit a webpage with Flash, does it show? IE: Does only local content not show flash properly?

I pointed the NetRemote browser to:

http://www.anina.net/index.html

and

http://www.refreshmobile.com/

both of which Adobe lists as Flash exemplars for mobile platforms.

In both cases, the sites' static content was loaded and depicted but the flash elements did not display. I pointed the embedded IE browser in Windows Mobile 5.0 to the same sites and was able to view the Flash content without difficulty.

For my local (intranet) Flash site, where the entire page is Flash generated, the site appears as a black screen.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Let me try this on PPC 2k3. I think it may be that the browser I'm embedding is slightly different (more PPC 2k3 like) than the one IE actually uses.

The native application (Mobile 5.0) is "Internet Explorer Mobile".

The one I'm using is a variant of PIE which is more similar to the ones with PPC 2k2 and 2k3.

Let me see what I can do.

Thanks!
