View Full Version : DVDSpy does not work with Girder 3.2

I have not done extensive testing with 3.2 myself. But I did do the quick check. DVDSpy 1.20 with Girder 3.2alpha8 seems to basically work under Win2K.

What does your setup look like? Which OS are you running? From other threads, there seem to be differences.

I take it that other plugins are generating events for you properly. Right? Is there any sign of anything from DVDSpy using the Logger plugin?

I could make the Winamp plugin check periodically to see whether Girder is there. Would that be useful other than when testing? I usually start Girder with Windows, but others may do things differently.

DVDSpy does not appear to work with Girder 3.2 (Alpha 8). Events are not received/cannot be learnt.
It works fine with Girder 3.1 so I don't think I've set anything up incorrectly.

Thanks for the reply.
I'm running 2k like you.
I've not had time to do much testing yet. But all other plugins work correctly with event sending. I haven't got time at the moment (revision  ) but I'll do some more checks as soon as I do get time - see if I can narrow the problem down a bit.

Just been experimenting. I've just discovered what I was doing wrong! I have been restarting Girder with winamp already running - I assume the winamp plugin attempts to make a connection at start so if it starts before girder it does not function!
Which I suppose is obvious really!
Thanks for a very useful plugin by the way.

I start girder with windows as well. It's just because I was testing that I reloaded Girder.
I think it would be best if you just added a note in the documentation stating that the plugin will not work if loaded before girder.

Can you make the Winamp plugin an ability of choosing what to send to Girder? There some information that I dont want Girder to receive

I want that function because when I'm using Winamp, the Winamp.Elapse event send to Gider every 1 second, if I forget to stop Winamp before teach Girder new event string (I forget to do that most of the time), the event string will become Winamp.Elapse and it excute right after that. I don't want that thing to happen

Huythach83, if you don't need some of the information DVDSpy sends - simply ignore it and don't have commands for saving them.
