Can anyone confirm that 2.0.0.71 & 73 work correctly in respect to button control mapping?

I'm trying to map the side buttons on a Dell X50v to the volume control for JMRC. I'm using NRmusic2.ccf for the interface and the volume control works fine from the GUI but I'm unable to make the side buttons map to the volume control.

I just installed 2.0.0.73 but the 'about' still indicates 2.0.0.71! Am I simply having a bad day or is the about box simply out of date?

The about box may be out of date.

Is it not allowing you to map them, or does the music ccf not use the hotkeys you're trying to map?

Intially I simply executed the map hot key process and pressed the side keys for V+ & V-, after this process the side keys still remained inactive so I used Tonto to map the side keys to the Volume GUI commands. This locked up the PPC and required a full reset to recover when ever I pressed the side keys.

Can you either send me the CCF, or open the CCF in the windows version, map keys to the volume buttons, and then try them from Windows?

Ben: I have mapped keys using Windows and it does not work. I mapped to page up and page down and although the keys were accepted, they have no effect in use. I also tried special keys on my keyboard that are not mapped to an XP function, again they were accepted but fail to function.

Not sure that sending you my ccf is going to be useful since it is your ccf that i'm using but if it helps I will be happy to oblige, let me know.

Ben: Could you please advise regarding this issue.Chris- We'll need to be patient. I think Ben just left on vacation for a week. I'm glad he's taking a break... he usually comes back with some great new ideas!

Hi Chris -
The use of hotkeys are a -little- hokey in their execution, so I understand the confusion.

A CCF can use hotkeys like volume up, volume down, mute, arrows, select, etc. but these are a carry over from the Pronto format. Volume Up is the "volume up" hardkey, but it doesn't necessarily make the volume go up.

To make it do this, you have to open the CCF in NRD, and open a page group. Then open the hardkeys node. You can then select "Volume Up" and change it's actions to whatever you'd like it to do.
