Girder 3.1> if anything is using less resources in terms of CPU usage, than Girder 3.0. So I have no clue why your dvd player is skipping.

As for the ip client/server, they don't do anything as long as you are not sending any events, so there is no polling involved.

Since implementing 3.12 and ip client and server , I have noticed that my DVD playback drops about 4 to 5 frames every 30-45 minutes. DVD playback is smooth other wise and was before without skips but now I am wondering if there is something in the ip event server or client holding things up every so often.

I will try disabling it to see but to me it's the only thing that makes sense as nothing else has changed.

Ron the issues we had with dropped events on the ip side indicated to me that this might be a possiblity as the events where only dropped on the HTPC running at 850Mhz duron under ME. The XP machine running a 1.4GHz Thunderbird was 100%. As it is random in terms of it's location on DVD but periodic in terms of it's occurance I was wondering if there is some behind the seens handshaking or polling going on which floods the bus.

Bear in mind I cam still using your modified ip event server which reduces the logging output etc.

Thanks Rick
