Open program in tray

Hi,
I use DivXG400 direct show filter for displaying subtitles and more nice functions.

When movie is playing, in the tray is icon to active instance of this filter. The only way to display properties is to clik on icon in the tray.

How can be activate programs thay are in the tray? I've tried capture event, but icon for program is not always in same possition.
Any idea?

I am also looking to control an application in the tray, and have found that the icons in the tray do move around. (I want to be able to safely close an external USB cdrw so I can physically turn it off. I don't want fan whirl when I dont need it.
