Remember that old commercial "you've got OSDmenu in my LCDplugin . . . No, you've got LCDplugin in my OSDmenu!"

Using the new variables is it possible to use these two plugins in coordination to create a LCD based menu system to control the PC. If yes - some general direction would be great. I am looking at not programming a new plugin - but rather using the power of girder to get the two to work together.

Why:
I have set up a MP3/SnapStream box that connects to my HomeTheatre. I have a CrystalFontz634 that I use to control WinAmp (using the menu plugin) It works great but is limited in what it can do. I want the ability to control all applications - <melodramatic>
the ability to unleash the POWER OF GIRDER! </melodramatic>
To me, the ultimate girder based interface would be to combine or allow these two plugins to work together so that the menu from OSD could be displayed on the LCD. THen you could configure your Girder to do anything you want with a remote and never have to have a TV or monitor on! Until my RemoteMacro that turns the TV on to watch the DVD or SnapStream recorded show.

Any ideas? Anyone else interested in this?
