Hi,
tried Girder and it is fantastic although I had to struggle to understand the Girder basics. Now after a few days I see the learning curve is steep, but now I've come to a stop and need help to get further.

Here's what I've done:
Enabled Windows Media Player 9 and 10.GML. I use wmp 10 on my pc.

It works (when in action window using "test" I can get all the actions to work, like open wmp, enable full screen, mute etc.

My problem:
Those functions requiring "Ctrl" + "letterkey". So for exemple "Ctrl" + "p" steers Play/Pause toggle in WMP, but even though it is correctly pre-defined in the wmp gml (key "p" inserted in the "text to send box" and the Control box enabled) it does not work.
Please note it's not a problem of getting the EVENT to work (ir assigning to my Pronto seems to have gone fine) but the ACTION itself (testing the actions containing "ctrl" within the Action Editing window draws me a blank)

I have studied the help files, searched through the forum but can't get further.
Can anybody give me some hints on how to proceed? Thanks

i haven't looked at that gml in awhile but have you checked the targeting? the gml is also only designed to work when wmp is the foreground app.

Yes. That is not the problem, as all other commands using buttons other than "Ctrl"+"letter" work flawlessly. I'm still stuck.
Thanks for the reply though!

weird, try changing from capital to non capital ??

or send the pause keyboard command (see the help file)

Try using the other keboard routine, sometimes that works better.

OK,
I changed letters to capital and back, put in pauses to no avail.
But I don't understand the last advice:"use the other keyboard routine".
What exactly do you mean by that? I told you newbie...although I have searched through the help files, searched the forum and don't get further.
I've played with this thing for a few days now and it's driving me nuts.
