SouthyPar,
This works without further modifications ? If so then I'll upload a converted one for convinience.

Varutz,
that would be great. Messages work better because of this:

Maybe you could import the file and save it :-) There is an option to automatically load a file in the settings dialog its called "auto load" So make a file that you use yourself import the zoomplayer file and set this as the autoload file.

Just thought I'd post here just in case. Is there any known bugs b/w girder 3.1 and zoomplayer 2.5? Girder's workin fine with powerdvd but doesnt do a thing with Zoomplayer.

Working fine here. What's the issue?

There is a working export group for ZoomPlayer on the exports page, but is it for Girder 3.0 and under the .GIR format. You will need to download the convertor from the download page to convert it to .GML in order to use it in Girder 3.1.

Yes. To the best of my knowledge, every command on that export group works fine with ZoomPlayer 2.50 (the latest version).

Yeah, that would be a really good idea. I once saw someone on the InMatrix forums promise to compile his Windows Messaging based ZPlayer export group for Girder, but I guess it takes some effort to compile that whole thing.

The only problem is that it uses keys instead of messages (and i suppose messages is better, yet, i cannot say why)
i can export mine but...it does not comply with "exported groups requirements" ;)
have to take some time to do it :)
maybe this week-end

I've just checked the new zoomplayer (beta) and some of the messages are changing for the next version. I'll wait for the new official version...

I am also having some problems with Zoom Player 2.50. It will work sometimes and not others. For example - the Play/Pause comand "P" usually works, but sometimes instead of playing/pausing - it will beging to toggle the play modes.
I can't get the discrete Pause "A" or the discrete Play "U" to work either. But other than that - it does seem to work - I have even setup an open multigroup command that opens zoom, makes it full screen and opens the directory dialog.
What problems are you having?

SouthyPar:
I have interest in using Girder and my AST remote for Zoom Player.
Since I am also a complete newbie with girder could I get you to export your .gml file for ZoomPlayer v2.5 and email it to me?
TIA

Thanks for the tip, I downloaded the .gml for Zoom Player and it seems to be working pretty well.
Is there some way for Girder to remember the Zoom Player group so its ready to used every time Girder is started?
I imported the group and then taught the commands I wanted to use an associated button on my AST remote and then saved the changes to the Girder directory.
Every time I start Girder I have to import the group again, this works fine but it would be nice to have it start with this group ready to run.
Sorry if this is an incredibly easy question, I'm just getting started.
TIA

Hi, first post on the forum.
After sitting on a shelf for around 2 months, I've finally decided to install my IRMan.
Previously, I've heard from users that Girder is a very efficiant tool for controlling applications through a remote. I've specifically written Message extensions into Zoom Player so that it would be the best way to reliably control the player (we all know faking keyboard messages simply doesn't work as smoothly as it should).
So, download the latest Girder final and started work to insert my remote's keys and program them to specific zoom player events.
Now, it took me about 10 minutes to realise that you had to use the "SendMessage" plugin in order to define a user-specified Event number.
I'm just wondering, but wouldn't it be a lot simpler to add a "Custom" event to the "Command" tab so that you can specify the event number there? It would save A LOT of user-interface management...
