Hi,
I'm having a problem using the gip library in girder 4.0.5.1 i have the Generic Internet Plugin enabled (gip2.dll) and the Generic Plugin shows up as an option when i go to add event, however there is no sign of the gip library in the Variable display and when i try to use Socket = gip.Open() from Lua i get an error, tried to index global 'gip' a nil value.
Is there something else i must do?
Cheers
Dan

Try installing the latest version of Girder from the Announcements forum (4.0.8.1)

What version of Girder are you using? Looking at 4.0.8.1 here is seems that Gip is loading normally. Also check the filesize of GIP and report back.

Now that is very weird.

What license type? Standard/Pro/WHP?

License Type: STANDARD

Standard does not support the GIP plugin. See the feature matrix on this page:

Hi Ron,
Thats quite interesting, i had considered that it was not available with the basic package so i consulted the manual and got a different impression (image attached). Also the GIP plugin being listed as loaded and sending events is a little contradictory. You may want to consider putting a note in the plugin description letting the user know that it wont really work unless they upgrade, but that is up to you.
So... how much will it cost me to upgrade to the pro version?
thanks
Dan

Well it should not have loaded and it has always been on the list of Pro only functions. The upgrade price can be found in the online store.

I'm sure im looking in the wrong place but i cant find the price to upgrade from standard to pro.
