I have been trying to get the PB remote working with Girder with little success.

I have done the following:

(1) Installed the PB remote on com2
(2) Activated the IGOR plugin, and have DCD set.
(3) Downloaded a few exports and converted the to GML for use with Girder 3.1.
(4) Go to each eventstring and set the IR event, and if necessary the path to the appropriate program.

So far, it only works sometimes. I will push the CD button my remote in order to launch winamp, and it is only successful 25% of the time. However, if I right click on the command, and do a "test command", it works fine.

I have also noticed that when I push a specific button my remote control, the IR Hex Code is displayed in the status bar of girder. When I push the same button repeatedly, I notice it shows a different hex code almost every time.

I believe this shouldn't happen, and it may be my problem. Anyone experience this ever? Anythign I could try? Any suggestions?

I have also increased the priority of the plugin to Level 8. I cannot do Ring0 ( I am on Win2k). This alternating IR code problem also occurs whether or not Girder is in the foreground.

Thanks in advance.

does anyone have any suggestions for this guy's problem? it seems that a lot of people are having this problem with igor's plugin recognizing different IR codes for the same remote button, including me. even when i run girder at priority 8 (also cannot switch on Ring0 as i am on winxp), when i have girder open but not as the foreground window, i can see in girder's "task bar" the different hexcodes popping up as i push the same remote button. also, whenever i run girder with igor's plugin priority set above 6, it crashes after a while. an updated plugin from igor will most likely fix this situation, but isn't there anything else that can be done? it's really annoying to push each button 4 times just to get a command to be executed once.. hopefully i am not the only one out there that is going through this "remote depression" stage :o .
