I've been having trouble with my W800 and my text-to-speech lately, since I've updated to the latest version (development version).
Would installing the G5 or device manager beta have anything to do with that?
Has anyone else noticed any eratic behaviour?

It started working again after a few reboots. No idea why. Sorry.

The TTS is by-passing the default voice that is set in the automation settings and using Microsoft Sam all the time, unless I set the voice immediately before using the speech. Even then, the voice sounds all hissy and very low quality. Any ideas?
Is it possible that another program is competing for use of the TTS engine that I'm using?

W800 stopped again overnight.
Here is an excerp from my log when I restarted Girder:

resetting the script engine seemed to get it working, then I fire my "on girder start" group again to reestablish some variables.

Yes, I installed the device manager a while ago. Maybe there's a new version that I missed?

no the device manager will not work on 4.0 anymore. It requires some features that are only available in 5.0. Please remove devicemanager.lua from the lua script directory also remove the subdir devicemanager.

I'll do that.
Should I just switch altogether to G5? I was having trouble getting it to work after copying my plugins over so I abandoned it for the time being till I have a chance to figure it out. I think it's the Insteon plugin that's causing the problems, but I could be wrong. (This probably belongs in another thread/forum area)

OK, last post here pertaining to this issue:
Will Mr. Hind's mouse plugin, MMCM's LCD plugin, the Insteon plugin, etc. all work fine with G5? Aside from having to rewrite my scripts that write to the registry, is there anything else that I should be concerned about?
