two remote buttons send one event string?

I am using a USB-UIRT with a direct tv remote, and i have everything programed and working but the volume up and down buttons send the same event string. how can i make girder tell the diffrence between the two buttons?

Now that is weird... did you setup a remote profile on the tivo remote for controlling a TV?
