trying to rebuild system post hard drive crash

running htpc with girder 4 and btv 4.4

btv works fine via keyboard but looking to get it working again via mx-800 remote.

created gml for mx-800, girder recognized it and accepted inputs for standard keys (scoll, play, pause, etc). then assigned mx-800 to btv.gml.
usb-uirt led flashes and girder signal indicator flashes (lower left hand corner) when key on mx-800 is pressed. however, btv does respond to commands from mx-800. suspect setup error on my part but cannot determine what it is after poring over forums and user manual.

btw, surround sound receiver volume can be worked by mx-800...thus believe mx-800 is working properly.

thoughts appreciated. thanks

Open the girder log window. What events do you see when pressing buttons on your remote?

first example, pressing scroll up buttion yields:

[wrench icon] diamond key entry - up nothing under details
[remote icon] mx-800 arrow up
[remote icon] usb-uirt driver 190002a000
[wrench] diamond key entry -up nothing under details
[remote icon] mx-800 arrow up
[remote icon] usb-uirt driver 190002a000

same command being sent twice?

second example, pressing play/pause

[remote] mx -800 play/pause
[remote] usb-uirt driver1500003d02
[remote] mx -800 play/pause
[remote] usb-uirt driver1500003d02

again being sent twice?

ok, you need to set the anitrepeat time (see the manual)

the use the mapping wizard (again in the manual)

let me know how that works out.

found and adjusted the anit-repeat. log shows one action each time button is pushed

remapped remote...log shows desired event each time buttion is pushed

went to expert view and assigned btv as target for each button.

all indications are that signal is being picked up by pc (usb-uirt flash, girder log) but no response from btv.

one step closer, but still no joy.

other suggestions?
