Girder 3.3 - 4.0 Serial Migration

I'm currently looking at shifting up to 4.0 and have come up against the issue of dealing with my serial devices. Having looked through the forums it appears that there is no easy way of importing the old .ini settings, and as my lua knowledge=0, i'm posting my 3.3 serial settings and other info here as offered in other posts. I did find mention of a proposed gui to do this, is there anything available to do this yet?

My devices are as follows:

1. USB to DMX interface, appears as a serial port. http://www.cinetix.de/interface/english/udgenmae.pdf

2.Dynalite DTK 410 dimmers, controlled with a USB to RS485 box using the dynet protocol.

It is the 'Start Fading To A Level (0.1 sec to 25.5 sec)' function that I use almost exclusivley so if there is a way to integrate that more fully into the plugin (in terns of checksum, etc.) it would be great.

3. LG LCD TV, Can't find a link to the commands but the model is a 26LX2R

4. Extron MAV88 Matrix switch, http://www.extron.com/download/files/userman/MAV_88_C.pdf

5. VIOM 16ch in/out module. Some scripting and a GML were very kindly done for this by another forum member

All the .ini files and a couple of example GMLs are in the attached .zip

Thanks in advance for any help with this as my planned upgrade to 4.0 ain't going to happen if i can't use these devices.

Some of the others we already have. Did you check the G4 download area?

Found the dynalite thread, i'll investigate. I did have a look in the downloads area but can't see anything that suits my other kit.

I'm pretty sure I attached my LG LCD TV serial device to a message here somewhere, but I can't find it now, so I've attached it here. It was written for a 32LX2R so it should be pretty much ideal for your TV.

It needs a bit more work doing on it sometime to retrieve all the settings from the TV on startup.

There's no GML to go with it, or documentation as yet. You'll have to read the .lua file to find the functions to call.

As far as the Extron goes, I'm pretty sure that there's a serial device for that - try searching for Extron here.
