Not possible !!

Keyboard switches intercept the keystroke BEFORE it get's to the computer. Girder feeds keystrokes into the OS.

Nice thought though..

One way to do this would be to have girder control a relay that is connected across the switch that changes the input on the keyboard switch. Toggling the general purpose output on the LCD/VFDs would probably work as the control.

I have a Master-IT Pro PR-12 switch (www.connectpro.com) that allows me to switch my keyboard/mouse to control two computers. I'm trying to use it to switch VGA sources for my Home Theater projector between my PC and Dish receiver. The switch is triggered by pressing ctrl-ctrl-1 or ctrl-ctrl-2 (three keystrokes in sequence) on the keyboard. I've tried to simulate these keystrokes with Girder but without any luck. What am I doing wrong or can this not be done with Girder?

Hi,
I'm pretty sure you can't...
I suppose that your keyboard is passing through the switch right. and i also suppose that is not your windows or something how's doing the switch but your controller. so your switch hardware is receiving those key strokes and decides to switch and as far as i know, as the swith is transparent to the comps involved there's no way to send a message from the computer to the switch

maybe i'm just wrong :)
