You probably need to upgrade your Winsock library. What windows version are you using ?

Strange, take a screenshot of the settings dialog/hardware tab when you have this error.

Or another TCP IP server on the same port... ( So try to change the port number )

When I have tried to use the Internet Event Server, the message I receive is as follows:

Plugin is loaded in memory but hardware initialisation failed

I just installed 3.1.3c, but I cannot seem to get past this point. I'm not exactly sure what to add in the settings for the Internet Event Server, I have tried adding both internal (behind the firewall) ip addresses of the possible clients, as well as the external ip address. I have also opened the suggested port in my firewall.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated for this newbie.

I have encountered the same error. I am trying to get NetRemote working, so I do not have any other input devices enabled. Is that allowed? I have tried changing the port number, but it does not help. Here is my testing configuration:

WinXP Pro (not SP1)
Girder 3.2.5a

Here is my error:

Thanks in advance!

Yo, Zak, Ron must be pretty tired of us NetRemote guys now, I kept him up coding last Saturday... Have you guys got any aggressive firewall software? I had a bunch of problems with ZoneAlarm a while back, but they dissappeared when I kicked that out and changed to Norton's Internet Security. It's much better at handling safe zones. 8)

Hey mastiff-

You are all over the place! I read through a bunch of the NetRemote threads, and I think you are right! However, I don't think my problem has anything to do with NetRemote. I'm guessing it's an ID-ten-T error on my part (ID10T).

I don't have any firewall software installed on my machine. I am not sure what they have between me and the internet, but I am testing all of this on a single laptop.
