Vista +Girder +serial.dll

hi all
has anyone here tried using vista with girder 3.3 and the serial plugin ??
it is not showing any com ports when trying to setup the serial device
all comports arre loaded and running ok.
if this is the case i won't be upgrading my os any time soon !

it will work with vista as long as you make it compatiable with windows xp service pack 2
right click on girder.exe ,choose properties,make compatiable
the serial.dll will work then
