Just wondering if anyone has found or is playing with the DeviceManager and the new WebServer.
Point IE or FF to your machine\dmex
make sure the webserver is enabled. you should be able to see and control any device that we have included in the devicemanager

Hi Mike,
I have, does it work for you in firefox?
I have also found that when I have the secure option enabled in the settings I get some missing images.
Otherwise it is very cool!

Yes, FF works fine here.
There are definitely some issues with it that will need to be sorted out and fixed.

All my devices appear to show up fine, both in FF and IE6, except when I choose devices with a location of NCC-1701E. These are devices that display my SpeedFan data, a component that I put together modeled after the WMI component. If I show Any Location they show up fine. Maybe something in my code.

NCC-1701E? I didn't realize we had released the Enterprise communication module.

One thing I have noticed which is purely cosmetic, is that were the dm page says "Precipitation Probability" the buttons below are not lined up. due to it taking two lines.
I guess it would be easiest to add a carrage return to the other labels either side of it?

I'm working hard on getting these issues resolved.

Can someone please explain to me how to access the webserver page using my WAN IP address? I have no trouble seeing it on my other machine by evtering 192.168.0.102\dmex, but I'd like to be able to control it from computers elsewhere. Thanks in advance.
Also, I was just wondering if this feature is being actively developed? I've noticed that the page is quite jumbled, though it's not a major concern of mine. Purely asthetics.

Are you guys interested in feedback about the webserver, or are you busy with other stuff?

I figured out how to get to my webserver from another computer by changing some settings for port forwarding on my router configuration page, but I've noticed a couple of issues.
I'll take your silence after my last question to mean, "yes please, we'd like to investigate any problems encountered out in the wild" ;)
dmex shows all of the various devices (weather sunclock, Insteon, RSS) on their repective tabs momentarily and then they disappear.
Insteon is not reliable, but that's most likely the Insteon plugin problems that I've been having (still getting the same error messages). I can get it to work after shutting down Girder and restarting it. Then it will work for a while (a few hours maybe) before it stops working again until another Girder restart.
If you guys have any questions or want me to try anything out, please ask away. I'd really like to help figure out the root of these problems.

Quixote,
Check your scripts, do they keep running?
I too have an issue with G5 stalling, and I notice it when I access my webserver pages and they do appear but don't update or send commands.
So, I went back to my G5 box and opened G5, the actual script did not work. So, it may be a webserver issue or something else.
I simply hit the save button in G5 and they started working again.

I'm not sure I understand what script you are referring to. I no longer use my own scripts in my Insteon setup. I abandonned the idea because I was having so many problems, and re-wrote the lighting section of my GML to use only device manager commands. It required about ten times the actions to be created, but I thought that it would resolve my reliability issues.
I'm just wondering now if running a torrent client is interfering with my Girder to Girder actions, beyond just a delayed response time. What I do know is that the pathetic reliabilty of my Insteon network is not due to electrical line noise or the placement of my Signalincs because my Controlinc functions flawlessly and immediately. The PLC is not faulty because I've tried two so far. For some reason Girder reports errors and no response messages all the time. I even tried hooking the PLC up to a USB extension and plugging it into another outlet.
