I just downloaded Girder 4.0 trial and started play with it. I cannot get any weather OSD display. I have checked both "Show OSD when girder starts" and "keep OSD on desktop" from settings.

I found some Lua examples from this forum, but they don't show anything either. Instead Iam getting following to Log display:

Time Date Source Details Payloads
22:46:48:085 12/18/2006 Scripting Lua Success (Nothing Triggered)koe.gml:\New\Scripting
22:46:48:075 12/18/2006 OSD Image OSD image error
22:46:34:996 12/18/2006 Weather Forecast Conditions error for Oulunsalo Unable to open URL
22:46:34:976 12/18/2006 Weather Forecast Conditions updated for Oulunsalo

What Iam missing here ?

Can you try a different location? It's possible that the problem is with the weather data provider.

I tried few locations, also from U.S, but same results. Is weather OSD supposed to display empty screen due to missing data or just to log an error message (OSD image error) ?

I'm not really sure what it's supposed to do if the data is missing.

Just tested it here and it's currently working for the west coast of the US.

What have you specified for the latitude and longitude?

I found the problem. The Weather application uses proxy settings from the IExplorer. I have a vpn proxy set for Internet Explorer and I was not connected to vpn. I was using these forums with firefox connected to different gateway and thus did not notice the problem right away. When I turned VPN on, the weather display just popped up.
I think there should be option to set proxy inside Girder or note about automatic proxy in user manual.

Ah, well done.

Good point about proxying.

My weather OSD will only display tempeartures in Celcius. How do I change it to Fahrenhiet? I have my temperature units set to Fahrenheit under Settings --- Geographical Location \ Locale.
