hello!
Im totally new to Girder. I have just ordered Girder and FireFly. Main reason for buying Girder was to be use it as passthrough and use firefly as only remote to control my lcd tv, stereo, dvd, media center and so on.
The problem is, after installing MCE Remote Plugin 0.18 I can record signals from all my remotes and I can see values but I cant find a way to send IR signal to my TV using Microsoft XP MCE 2005 Remote receiver/blaster... I have searched both forums and downloads without any luck :S
Can anyone please help me how to send IR signal back to TV ?
Thank you very much

Hi,
You want to send button presses from your FF to the MCE Emitter?
http://www.promixis.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-13066.html
you need the G4 plugin from here
http://www.promixis.com/download.php?ID=739
you just have to create an MCE action, learn the IR code, press F5 to send and test it.

* I have ver. 2.0 MCE remote control with RC 6 on the back of the remote.
* I have MCE transmitter connected to my PC with USB and drivers http://www.promixis.com/download.php?ID=739 ver 0.18.
* I have ir-emitter placed 30 cm from TV, DVD, Receiver with clear sight
* I can record any IR code from all my IR remotes that I have in house, and I can play them back using MceIrPlay.exe the only problem nothing happens.
Emitter connected to port #2 flashes red and thats it. TV, DVD, XBOX does not react to the IR signal send from the transmitter. First I thinked it was something with girder, then with the plugin but now it looks like it just wont send any IR signals ?... I have tryed from many distance and it looks like it just wont send anything or nothing of it are understood by my tv or dvd or hifi or receiver. I have emmiter placed from 1 cm to 2m from my TV and still nothing happens.
In Girder I don't see MCE on the action's list and cant understand how I can send IR signal back from Girder to the TV or DVD.

I spend all night testing and could not find a way how to send anything back from my MCE-IR. So I have opened it to take a look what was inside. And it does have Phillips chip so I guess it is a standard MCE IR s/r. Im including pictures of my IR transmitter board maybe it can help to solve this mistery.
Thank you

hi, the plugin is missing a file. we are updating this.
note: this doesn't explain why the learn and send stuff is not working. this should work outside of girder using burninzeroads utilities.
replace the batteries in your remotes. what are you seeing when you learn a command?
