Ok guys,
I am about to go The G5 route but just need to ask a few questions first.
-Do I need to uninstall g4 first or is there a type of upgrade path where I can migrate all my g4 stuff to g5.
-I now have a plasma, Av reciever and DVD player controled through serial, and a cable tv box via IR.
Can I just plug these files into into the same place or do they need modifacation to get going and do they go in the same place?
I would like to get feedback from the equipment so I can have an ON and OFF state for the buttons in NR.
Sorry for all the questions but I am just a little confused at where to start, as My setup at the moment is running seamlesly. (thanks to you guys!). Any help or push in the right direction would be be more than appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Welcome aboard.

You can have both G4 and 5 installed. In most respects, the G4 stuff will work without change in G5.

For serial devices, for now, everything will be the same. To add your stuff to the device manager (which is what you want for NetRemote), create a separate thread for each device. Attach your .lua file and a link to the device protocol.
