View Full Version : These IR codes make it to Girder and then

This IR code sent from Netremote 2.0.88 does NOT work on girder but works fine on NRIrserver. Anyone got any ideas how to fix? This is the latest girder with USB-UIRT.
This is getting very frustrating. We were told NOT to use the NRIrserver, but it seems better at dumping IR codes out. Thats all I use Girder for!
Help.

Other codes work but this one does not? Or no codes work at all? Any messages in the error log?

Other codes work fine. This one and others do not. They work fine on MRIRServer. So it's Girder and nothing else.

Missed the other part. You mean on Girder using the Log window. No nothing comes out. Not much ever comes out for USB-UIRT IR stuff on that window. It's enabled...

I will look into this might be Monday before I get around to this though. What version of Girder are you running?

The latest. 4.0.14 build 370.

What version of NetRemote?

The latest. Version 2 0.88. I've tried a few older releases and none work. This is not a netremote problem. The data is going across the network. Then girder does nothing.

Note. The reason it took me 4 days to reply is that I did NOT get an email that you had responded. Does that NOT happen with QuickReply?

Tried punching that code you referred to above into a USB-UIRT action but the driver returns an error.

looks like there is something wrong with this CCF code.

But it works through NRIRServer? So what gives? ie. If I point Netremote to NRIRServer instead, all is well.

Don't know the USB-UIRT implementation inside Girder can't handle it. This was programmed by Jon Rhees. I'll send him an email.

I see. This one fails as well. Send him that one too.

One attempt I tried to use to fix this is as follows:
For the problem IR code, I tried this:
Infrared: Set current plugIn instance. (set it to NRIRServer)
IR Code
The problem is that the set current instance plugin does NOT seem to work. The only thing that works is NextPluginInstance. And thats not a very good way to do it.
So.......So many bugs!
Can you look at that too.

That would be a netremote bug and is separate from the bug discussed here, please start a new thread in the correct forum.

All Jon has to say is that the code has a funny ending, it has zero length. Please re-record it and see if that helps.

Ron.... Give him the Sony code that I posted above and ask why that doesn't work. I can probably find others too.
Did you tell him that they work fine on NRIRServer?
Here are a few others that dont work too.
