Ron:
I am doing something wrong and I am sure there is a simple solution.
I am using Girder 4.0 with a Nevo SL universal remote and irMan on Windows Vista.
I have programmed several commands for PowerDVD 7, ie. file execute to load the program and keyboard command <enter> to play it. All of these commands work when I test them with the test function in Girder. The problem occurs when I attach a remote event to any of these commands. The remote event screen pops up and I select the remote I created and select the appropriate command from the drop down box. The status buttons on the bottom left show that Girder is receiving the remote command but unlike when I use the test button, the remote does not trigger the command.
I should note that I have used miriam successfully with this set up. I prefer your program and hope I can get it working.
I am sure it is something simple that I am not doing.
Please help.
Thanks,
Brian

Brian,
Do you have a "down", "up" or "repeat" check box selected in the remote event?
If not try "down". If you do, what comes up in the log (F4) when you press the remote button?

Richard:
The down box is checked, the only modifier box checked, although I have tried checking all of them as well without success..
What is interesting is when I push the assigned button on the remote, in the log I see the remote code only:
Time Date Source Details Payloads
11:48:40:212 3/8/2007 UIR/IRman/IRA/CTInfra/Hollywood+ Plugin 40040D007C71
but what is not apearing is the task, in this case I should see
task switch: PowerDVD.exe after the remote code.
When I test the file execute command I do see the task switch for powerdvd.exe in the log:
Time Date Source Details Payloads
12:04:00:954 3/8/2007 TaskSwitch PowerDVD.exe
12:04:00:880 3/8/2007 TaskCreate PowerDVD.exe [CREATE]
12:04:00:052 3/8/2007 File Execute Command executedPowerDVD7.1.gml:\Open\File Execute
I assume what I should see when I press the button on the remote is the remote code as shown abiove and then the file execute command above it in the log. For some reason the remote event is not attaching itself to the file execute command even though I am highlighting the file execute command and clicking on add remote event.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

hi,
open the logger and drag the events that you generate with your remote to the actions in your GML.
hope this helps ;)
