Using remote with DScaler

Doesn't work, only one program can have access to the DScaler libraries, and Girder also uses the dscaler libraries to gain access to the remote.

Yes it is. Maybe sometime in the future I'll get together with the DScaler author and fix this.

The remark in the FAQ holds true for all the remote devices except for the bt8x8 devices.

Kaki, you are using a different driver (Pixelview and Winfast use the DScaler driver). Would have been great if it had worked though.

The poor-mans receiver is the UIR, see the links sections. This is a build it yourself solution that works PERFECTLY. If you are not so handy check out the IRA or the IRMAN, where the first is a little cheaper then the last. Also lots of people are using the UIRT ( can also send signals ).

D*mn! They removed the page, The page was owned by one of the folks at Evantion, guess this had to happen sooner or later. Luckly we have a good replacement now, UIRT.

i aint sure i'm understanding right but i have the leadtek tv2000 bt8x8 and i use the remote for Borg Tv 2.1, DScaler etc., my gir starts with all groups disabled but i can then flip thru five 'devices' using the popup and control any one of them perfectly well with girder....

ron - thnks for a wonderful utility - could u plz advise on what hardware i should go for ( poor man's budget ) to use a serial receiver cos i now use girder so much i prefer if it were sort of 'independent' of the TV card :o

I have the same problem too but I'm using Leadtek Winfast TV 2000. I downloaded a driver for this but Girder still doesn't work with DScaler

I'm using DScaler with my pixelview pro tv card with 878 chip....works fine, i want to use my remote in dscaler, is Girder the only way to do it? I find girder quite confusing, can someone tell me step by step how to setup my remote with girder? or point me to a tutorial please?

Mmmm... and I was wandering why DScaler was behaving so bad with my Winfast TV2000... hope that maybe to be in the near future :wink:
