Is there a simple way to start iTunes and start a playlist?

Okay, no one doing this currently...?
I have a music server in a closet, no video or TV!
I just want a piece of software to play MP3's and Playlists.
Music Match 7.5 worked fine, and Winamp worked pretty good. But, I wanted to upgrade to iTunes, but I sense that there is not much support...
I looked at JRMC, but it seems like a very dedicated community... and expensive relatively speaking...

I think most people here will be using NetRemote and MediaBridge to control their media players rather than Girder, which is probably why you haven't had any responses.

But, I do not have video, just music!!
So a nice MP3 interface would be sweet!
Am I stuck with WinAmp!!

Mediabridge talks (mostly) to plain MP3 players - and NetRemote talks to Mediabridge. No video involved. There is a Girder interface to Mediabridge as well, but you'd have to buy NR to get Mediabridge.

But, I don't even have a PPC for Netremote yet!
My GUI is an ADI Leopard touchscreen, which can send IR, X10, or Serial commands back to Girder.
I can't believe no one is using Girder to Launch iTunes playlists!!
And, I can't believe Girder does not support this out of the box!!
I would assume iTunes is in every home (almost!).
What can I use to launch playlists with Girder?
What method and software works, WITHOUT creating a plugin and without Netremote!
Zoom Player
Winamp
Musicmatch
JRMC
WMP
