PopUp OSD has a dialog that is big. No doubt about it. :)
That dialog box was developed for just smaller than the sweet spot of 1024x768. Why? Because that is a resolution that most modern computer monitors support and, moreover, that is smaller than HDTV resolution. (1080 or 720 lines) I'll try to rearrange the information in the dialog so it will fit onto tiny displays (540 is obviously betwen VGA's 480 and SVGA's 600 lines); but, to be truthful, tiny display support is not real high on my priority list today. :( Is there no way for you to develop your setup while using a monitor with more resolution?
Hotkeys? Not by me. Accelerators for this dialog? Possibly. I need to learn how to do this first.
OSD transparency is not supported by the PopUp OSD. This is on the list to do but since I don't have an OS installed that supports it, support is doubtful, at best.
I've gotten swamped at work and don't have time for much of anything else. As always, if anyone would like to rectify these shortcomings, the OSD PopUp source is available on the developer download page.

If you are still interested, a new version (3.0.5) with a wider vs taller dialog in on its way to Ron. Sorry it took so long.

... less intimidating ...
Are you trying to imply something here? :D
Designing user interfaces (UI) has never been my strong suit. I can't promise I'll get the time to either learn how tabs work or re-write the UI to use tabs but if you have ideas for breaking the UI across multiple tabs, I'd be happy to listen.

I have finally cleaned up my port of 3.0 to 3.1 and have also changed my HTPC from Win98se to dual boot Win98se/Win2k. Now I am pretty much using 3.1 and Win2k exclusively.
But not everything is working. DScaler and Girder 3.1 have some sort of conflict and Popup OSD has a menu that his too big for my display.
Popup OSD first. I think the menu is hard coded for 600 pixels. I am using an HDTV and 540p is about as big as I can get with readable text. I have tried a 800x600 display mode that is HDTV derived and with this I can make out some of the buttons at the bottom of the menu but most of the text is not readable. If Popup OSD had a smaller window or used hotkeys, it would be much more easier to use.
Also, how do I get the transparent display to work? Girder's Simple OSD transparency setting works, but I cannot enable this on Popup OSD.
DScaler second. If I use Girder's Poweroff command when DScaler is running, the screen goes black with my cursor displayed. I can move the cursor with the mouse, but that is it. I need to use the reset button to reboot the HTPC. If I stop DScaler first, I can usually get Girder's Poweroff to work. Currently, I have a 2.5 second delay between DScaler terminate command and the Poweroff command. It works about 75 percent of the time. Other than just increasing the delay time, does anyone understand what this conflict is?
DScaler doesn't like the Simple OSD. If I put something on the screen that overlays the DScaler display, I cannot display a new OSD until this one has gone away on its own.
Ok, last problem. Why does Girder cause the speaker to beep? Can this be turned off without disconnecting the speaker?
Thanks all,
waja

Mark,
Thanks for the response.
There are definitely monitors available in my home. I'm just not keen on lugging them up and down the stairs when setting up Girder. About the only time I do drag one out is when I can't get the machine to boot and I need to see what is displayed.
Hotkeys? Oops. I really did mean an accelerator. If it is possible, then that would be great!
I understand about being swamped. So your time is well appreciated.
Thanks,

Mark,
a suggestion to getting the dialog smaller and perhaps less intimidating :) is to use tabs.

I just installed the latest version of your plugin. Actually it's not so intimidating, it looks good. :)
