I don't think i'm going to implement that, the problem is how to make the user enter the variable name on which to base the choice of showing the OSD yes or no. Maybe we could give some variable special meaning. But for now I'm not going to do this. I'll put it on the todo list though.

Would it be possible to have the volume osd enabled/disabled by a variable?

I'm trying to make a big group to control every aspect of my soundcard and I don't want to have to duplicate each command just to display/not display the osd.
