I'm very impressed with the uirt2 let me say =} I proceeded to make a custom serial cable that will bring power and wol signal to the uirt via one serial cable. As you have noticed, there are two unused pins on the uirt so i used those to carry the power and the signal. Had to bridge a piece of small wire from the pads of the connector to the power line and the WOL signal line. Too bad i don't have a digital camera or i would have taken pictures! Anways, that is some thought for a more usable uirt!

This is a good solution for "nicer" external cabling. But what if some of the outputs are used? It all depends on the wishes of the user therefor I left the cabling "flexible".
