Just thought I'd post this in case anyone else was still having problems with their remote.
Looks like I've finally worked out what was stopping the remote from working.
(It has only taken me over 2 years to get the darn thing to work.)
It was the Com 2 port setting.
Changed the basic configuration setting to another one.
(New one left IRQ at 7 but I/O range is now 03E8 - 03EF)
I'd looked at everything else within the system except this.
The unit has been working for 3-6 months without a problem.
I hope this will help someone else.
