This receiver is only ment for the official remote. If you want to receive other remotes you'll have to build the UIRT/UIR or SHF-56 device. ( or buy ;-) )

Has anyone able to use AST/Logitech IR Receiver with other universal remotes? Using the default NEC/AST/IBM plugin, the receiver works fine with the AST remote, but not with other remotes.

For example, if I press 'Play' on my universal remote, Girder receives random strings, and thus it can't be used to learn IR codes.

I've tried Generic Serial IR and Generic Serial Support plugins and still have the same problem. Tried a lot of serial settings and the best I can do is receiving 4 different IR strings for one button pressed.

Thanks for any help.
