Hello Eveyone,

I just downloaded Girder 4 and NetRemote 2 demos this past weekend. So far I am very pleased with NetRemote compared to other solutions out there.

However, I am getting stuck trying to send USB-UIRT commands remotely from my Pocket PC. They work fine when I test them in Girder. I am using one of the default CCF files from NetRemote and edited/created my own button that calls the UIRT commands with the designer.

Here's another thing. The buttons I created work fine when testing with the PC client of NetRemote just not on the PDA. But all the other standard buttons that are built into the CCF template for Media Center work fine.

I have tried deleting the the NR events that get created when I make the buttons in the designer and remaking the actions for the buttons. I am just at a loss at this point.

I see in the girder logs when I connect but I never see the commands pass through nor do I see the activity "lights" on the bottom left ever light up.

It sound as though you have learned the IR in Girder and are using NR to send events to Girder - is that correct?

I'd take a look at the configuration of the Girder plugin on the PPC - possibly delete the existing plugin instance and let autodiscovery find Girder again.

Thanks for the reply,

I think what you are describing is what I have done. I copied/pasted the pronto/raw IR codes into Girder and as I said they test fine there and they work from the remote PC that has the Designer and PC client of NetRemote.

I think you lost me when you asked me to look at the girder plugin on the PPC and Delete/Rediscover. Could you walk me through that step? Sorry this is still new to me.

On the PPC open the File menu and go to Properties (I don't have my PPC handy at present, but I think that's right). Then select the plugins tab and find the entry for the Girder plugin. Check the settings - see if you are using the name or the IP address of the PC that's running Girder. Try using the IP address if it's using the name.

Thanks I'll try that when I get home.

Thanks Rob, that seems to have been the fix.

Great, glad it's working now.
