Turn off polling for the RemoteLinc

I read a posting on the SmartHome Forum that RemoteLincs go to sleep to save their battery and that is why they aren't listening all of the time. This is causing polling problems because Girder kept trying to address my RemoteLinc, and the RemoteLinc was usually asleep. I finally deleted my Girder links to the Remotelinc to stop the excess message traffic. Is there a way to disable polling to RemoteLincs?
